The attitude for Gratitude
“ Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good. Stormy or sunny days, glorious or lonely nights, I maintain an attitude of gratitude.” Maya Angelou
Whatever the weather, it is us whom ultimately have control over our day. Fluctuating moods from happy to sad or to angry, we lose sight of the things we have, and tend to forget our inner potential to live each moment given to us with an attitude of gratitude.
We are like a swarm of busy bees, buzzing mindlessly, thinking of what we SHOULD do and not necessarily thinking about what we WANT to do…at least I do this myself without realising. The beauty of our lives stems from the innate desire to love and to be loved.
If you spent a whole day not spending a single pound, what would you do and who would you spend it with? With limitless amounts of knowledge flooding everywhere, beautiful parks one can stroll in marvelling at the exquisite nature, or even taking the time to draw, sing, paint, or write poetry ..time becomes a relative dimension. And I believe gratitude is necessary to cultivate within the time we have during our lives.
“Although you have nothing with you, you are happy because you are eating with the most wonderful Person.” (Way of God’s Will 1.8)
Overall, be grateful for all the small interactions you have with loved ones or strangers, the smiles exchanged, the skills and talents you are blessed with, the food you eat and the shelter you come home to. And perhaps say a big Thank You to Him. For He has given us so much.
Happy Birthday Dear Sister

Happy Birthday Sarah. I love you. I miss you. And everyday I think of you and your happiness in a place I hope is keeping you at peace. As I listen to you sing your cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’ as I write, I feel like I am with you, and you are singing with the heart of limitless power and immense love. Your wholesome beauty is not only reflected in your voice, but in your personality, and your appearance. I can only thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dynamic spirit that lives on in all our hearts. You are unforgettable, you are a blessing, my songbird.
My Dear Sister Sarah Hanna.🌷
I have written a poem for you, I hope you enjoy. X
Another year has passed
Seasons have gone by
The trace of your hidden footsteps
Remain
Your presence-
Sacred.
The fluttering snapshot
Of your smile
Is etched in my memory
Flooding warmth of
Your love within
The songbird you are
Lives on
Notes you carry
Weighed with tender emotion
Aims directly to the
heart of my being
Keeping me above
the Ocean of Your Paradise
A million words are not
enough to describe you
For you are the essence
of Beauty
You are the stone to my dignity
You are the Rainbow of my dreams
You are an angel of light.
Happy Birthday Sarah 🙏🏼 We love you.
Why we forget the purpose of our lives.
LIFE. A short four lettered word that carries the weight of our world, our planet and our universe. They say life is short…but is it really? Our existence within a day is long, the 29 years I have been on this earth…thats been long, waiting at the bus stop for 2 minutes can feel super long. To me, a minute, an hour, a day, a month and a year surmounts to LIFE as being a time machine that will always go at a steady pace. It offers us the opportunity to celebrate love everyday, appreciate the beauty of friendship, and to enjoy limitless time in creating goals with a desire to achieve them. I may sound like a spirit free hippie but I know underneath all the doom and gloom we all go through, we forget He is there shining the light above our heads, so we can see our colourful surroundings. I forget this now and again, as I end up curling into a ball that just sits there, looking glum. That’s why we have each other to shoulder each other’s issues. There are those who delight in problem solving, there are those who empathise, and there are those who listen. Ultimately, there is a fundamental purpose we exist on this earth. We are all seeking happiness. HAPPINESS a big word to even say with a smile on our face, let alone feel it inside. The bittersweet concept of happiness derives in the fact we are all not truly happy, special exception to those who are. But with a history of wars, illness, murders, conflict, pain, hunger, suffering, poverty, abuse can we say we aren’t affected by this all. The media portraying 99% of bad news makes you wonder whether we can ever remember the 1% of good news being shown. On top of that, I do not want sound like a hypocrite because I am a social media user, but social media is taking the instant fleeting happy snappy by storm, wind, fire and air. IT’S INCREDIBLE. And also soul damaging. I wonder if our thumbs will fall off one day from scrolling, or our lips will be rainbow shaped..in any case, the want to explore knowledge, read books may not be on the forefront of our minds. Do not worry I am not going to obliterate Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. If anything, I am trying to promote a balance I myself can feel I am lacking in my life. I want to look as balanced as a cactus stands in the desert, weathering those sand storms. This year, I find myself reading more and blogging haha, and doing yoga as well as socialising more. One word REFRESHING. Yes , I have a cheeky flick through your lives on Insta, but at the end of the day my ultimate purpose is to develop as a person who can appreciate the beauty of your existence as well as mine, being a friend who is present for those hard times, sharing happy moments, being a good sister to my siblings, and becoming a better person for Him to feel happy for, day by day. God bless you all.
Change by Lana Del Rey
I can feel it blowing in
It’s coming in softly
On the wings of a bomb
There’s something in the wind
I can feel it blowing in
It’s coming in hotly
And it’s coming in strong
Who am I to sympathize when no one gave a damn?
I’ve been thinking it’s just someone else’s job to care
Who am I to wanna try but
People are powerful beings
Trying to find the power in me to be faithful
Change is a powerful thing
I feel it coming in me
Maybe by the time this song is done
I’ll be able
To be honest, capable
Of holding you in my arms without letting you fall when I don’t feel beautiful
Or stable
Maybe it’s enough to just be where we are because
We don’t know what it’s from
Now we finally slow down
We feel close to it
There’s a change gonna come
I don’t know where or when
But whenever it does
We’ll be here for it
I can feel it blowing in
It’s coming in softly
On the wings of a song
There’s something in the water
I can taste it turning sour
It’s bitter, I’m coughing
But now it’s in my blood
Who am I to sympathize when no one gave a damn?
I’ve been thinking it’s just someone else’s job to care
‘Cause who am I to wanna try but
People are powerful beings
Trying to find the power in me to be faithful
Change is a powerful thing
I feel it coming in me
Maybe by the time this song is done
I’ll be able
To be honest, capable
Of holding you in my arms without letting you fall when I don’t feel beautiful
Or stable
Maybe it’s enough to just be where we are because
We don’t know what it’s from
Now we finally slow down
We feel close to it
There’s a change gonna come
I don’t know where or when
But whenever it does
We’ll be here for it
Yeah, whenever it does
We’ll be here for it
Hmmm
Whenever it does
We’ll be here for it
Such a beautiful song. Listen below:
